The challenge

Recent studies show that more and more elderly people in the Netherlands feel lonely frequently. After retiring, many elders find themselves feeling bored and maybe a little lonely. In addition, many find that they have fewer opportunities to meet new people and/or are looking for activities or freelancing positions.

The solution

The aim of Golden Ager is to create social events and activities for elders in Rotterdam. In addition to that, it seeks to find temporary (freelancing) positions requiring light work through which they can earn compensation. Through an app, users will be able to stay informed about upcoming activities and freelancing positions. This will allow elderly people to expand their social network, enjoy fun activities and make the most out of what is truly their golden age.
